  • Experimenting with a little line + color sketch - trying to determine what I will paint on the kiddos rock wall in our basement. 🧗🏻‍♂️While @toddbabb is doing all the hard, structural stuff, I get to be creative. ❤️ . I wanted the mountains scene to feel like it was local, and while we don’t live in the mountains, the range closest to us are the Blue Ridge mountains. . It’s not a very good sketch, but that’s ok.   • Hi there, I’m a new plant lady. By “new” I mean I haven’t killed any lately. Here are a couple tips from a recovering plant murderer that might just help your house plants to thrive: . My good friend and expert plant lady @theminimalistplanthoarder told me to move my plants around every week. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that myself, but it makes sense — they need sunlight, and certain locations in my home do not get enough light for plants to thrive. This has been the best tip to keep the whole plant looking healthy. . Before I rotate them, I like to place them all to the sunniest part of the house, near the brightest windows, for about 24-48 hours. There, they get maximum sun for most of the day. The downside is that my dog likes to knock them over. 😑🐾🌱 . How I remember to water them....you know those half empty cups of water your kids leave all throughout the house? I’ve finally put them to use — whenever I see these cups, I use them to water my plants. Honestly, that’s all the water they typically get (or need). Turning 🍋s into lemonade. . Do you guys have any tips to share? I’m loving my house plants — they keep the air fresh and clean!   • Today was one of those days...had a mammogram and a positive strep test (for the middle kid) all before 11 am. 😑 Let’s just say the day could only look up from that point. 😉 . Thank goodness, we had some leftover grilled steak so all we had to do was arrange a few fridge/pantry ingredients together for a super fast and healthy dinner.   • I was going to show the “after” of the vintage dresser I found on Facebook marketplace for an absolute steal, but again, Winston feels he is much more interesting. Honestly, he is.
